About – Gate Result
Gate 2023 Result. GATE Result Date Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Kanpur) has declared the result of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2023). Result has been declared on 16th March.
As per the earlier announced dates, GATE result is declared on 16th March as well as the scorecard will be uploaded on the exam portal on 21st March. Candidates who applied for GATE exam can check their score by visiting the official website.
GATE 2023 exam was held from 4 to 12 February
IIT Kanpur had conducted GATE 2023 exam on 4th, 5th, 11th and 12th February. The provisional answer key was released on February 21 and a window was given till February 25 to raise objections on the answer key. The responses of GATE 2023 candidates have also been released. The final answer-key is expected to be released along with the result.
What after GATE Result 2023?
After the GATE Result 2023, candidates can use their scores to apply for various PG programs such as M.Tech, ME, MS, and PhD in engineering, technology, and science-related fields in various institutes and universities across India.
The admission process for these programs usually involves a combination of GATE scores, academic performance, and other selection criteria specified by the institute.
Candidates can also apply for various PSU (Public Sector Undertakings) jobs through their GATE scores. Some of the popular PSUs that recruit through GATE include BHEL, IOCL, NTPC, PGCIL, and HPCL.
Apart from these, candidates can also use their GATE scores to apply for scholarships, fellowships, and other research opportunities in various organizations and industries.
Category wise cut-off will also be declared along with the result. The cut off will be decided on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates, total number of candidates and availability of seats etc. The date of the result has already been given in the schedule. However, students appearing in the examination are advised to keep checking the website regularly.

To download the result, candidates have to follow these steps, which are as follows –
- Visit the official website of GATE, i.e., gate.iitb.ac.in
- Click on the result link provided on the home page.
- Enter your GATE 2023 enrollment number and password.
- Result will be displayed on the screen.
- Download and save the result for future reference.
Note: The scorecard will be available for download only for those candidates who have qualified for the exam.
